I am grateful my doctor is much happier @ the new hospital & helped me find pain management/personal health answers! ♡
Well, I found out I am perimenopausal. That hit me hard but makes a lot more sense to me than thinking I have been losing my mind! That answers about 90% of my recent questions.
It also helped my better half understand why I keep our bedroom at the temperature setting for a deep freezer.
I talked with my doctor about NSAIDs, my GERD being stress-related with spikes during stress, etc. After talking for a bit, not finding an ulcer in my throat, and some other odds and ends, she told me about an NSAID for chronic pain that is much less stressful on the GI tract. I started that yesterday and take it in the mornings now. I am very stiff but, I assure you, there is much less pain. I can gradually work out the stiffness but it is impossible to do if I am in too much pain to function.
The why behind those perimenopausal symptoms and help with pain that is not likely to harm me… I am much more relieved.
It was also great to see my doctor seem more relaxed and happy. She cares about her patients and she is very dedicated to helping them get healthy. It is why I appreciate her so much.
