
If you see the above image, just be forewarned that it is going to be a weight management post. I want to start tracking my weight loss journey from day one. I am going to try blogging daily as I get into the routine. I am hoping it helps me stay motivated. It will probably move to once a week once I am in a rhythm. I want to enforce accountability from the start.
Today is Day One.
I am going to start using face images for accountability. It is the most comfortable approach for me. I will eventually start using body photos but, first, I want to begin by showing my face transition.
I am using a Keto-Bariatric Hybrid diet. Although I have lost 200lbs in the past through Keto, I feel more comfortable with a moderate fat intake than a high-fat one. This means a high protein, moderate fat, and low carb approach. Yes, I have talked to doctors about weight loss and taking this approach.
I ordered low-carb protein shakes, too. I am not much for eating first thing in the morning. It is important that I still start the day with high protein and then move through the day with a progressive approach to my food intake. I am also planning to use a small meal approach, around 4-6 small meals a day. No more over indulgence.
- 4-6 small meals per day
- Low-carb veggies (broccoli, zucchini, cauliflower, green beans, etc.)
- Healthy fats (i.e. olive oil, real butter, etc.)
- High proteins (i.e. a protein shake for breakfast, lean meats like chicken or lean hamburger, white kidney beans, cottage cheese, etc.)
I am starting today with a small serving of cottage cheese. My breakfast shake is ordered but it is not here for this morning. That begins tomorrow.
