Dear Angela,

Happy 100th birthday!

Remember when you never thought you would reach this point? You also thought you would never get any of the college degrees you have earned or a steady relationship. Yet, here you are, at the end of your life having lived. Despite the bad things, you managed to find true love in your 30’s, find out what it is like to be treated with love and respect. You learned what you deserve.

You discovered self-love, self-confidence, coping skills, and so much more. You changed generational habits and created new, healthy ones.

Your daughter is an amazing young woman, although now she would be just as elderly as you at 80-years-old. Either way, you have done amazing things in life and made smart choices.

Your determination to live your best life, make the necessary changes to do so, and drive to help others is second to none.

You faced hurdles and jumped them. When others gave up, you did not.

I am so proud of you. ♡
