Let’s Discuss

I am going to start on today’s entry because it is the freshest in my mind and I am still quite excited about it.

Yesterday, the better half and I had to run around looking for a new chair for him. We ended up in Lansing at a furniture store, where there was a small display of artisan honey, candles, lip butter, etc. I was quite intrigued because I hadn’t found a maker for beeswax lip balm in a while, and the store-bought stuff is just not as good. I find the artisanal versions are less stingy on the bees wax (a wonderful, natural skin protectant). When I saw that bees wax is the main ingredient for their lip butters and it was only $4, I knew I had to buy one.

The one in the photos shown is the one I bought for my daughter. Mine is in my purse, so I didn’t grab a photo of it before this post.

All the same, I got this for my daughter, and I bought myself a lavender mint. The quality is amazing! It has this silky feel on the lips, but it hydrates and protects just like a quality bees wax lip balm. They won me over!

They have a Facebook page here, if you want to see what I am talking about. I am a huge fan of supporting small businesses that create natural goods because my skin is so sensitive and I react to so many different store bought stuff (especially laundry detergent). So, when I find something like this I always try to say something publicly for those like me.

I have ordered my better half to stop there and get me more lavender mint the next time he goes to Lansing for work.

Most of my weekend, otherwise, was spent washing up a bunch of laundry and playing a game. I have always been a fan of Sniper Fury (phone app game, although I use BlueStacks to play it on my computer). I stopped playing it a long time ago because it is a bit addictive. However, sometimes when I am stressed, it is just fun to shoot things. I don’t know, it just lets out that internal rage I feel sometimes.

Sunday was one of those days where I was stretching for something to find gratitude in, and the only thing I could think of was the fact that I slept in to the point my boyfriend came in to see if I was alive. Well, if I wasn’t, he scared me back into a heartbeat.

Saturday was filled with laundry, like I said. It was a stretch, but my better half has been working hard to make sure we are all comfortable and happy. It was the only thing I could think of in the moment to feel true gratitude for.

And back to the grind I go today. ♡
