First of all, if you haven’t noticed, I have started saving daily prompts that I like. This allows me to respond after the day they are featured. It is because time is not always on my side. I want to answer them and I cannot stand losing out because the day isn’t right.

This is one such prompt.

The Flexibility of Crochet

I am so darn punny. 😂 Honestly, though, I do credit regular crochet sessions for helping me maintain flexibility in my fingers. They cramp up less often than they used to. I suspect it is arthritis.

When I was a virtual assistant back in the 2000s, I started having issues. It is due to typing constantly without an ergonomic keyboard.

It reached a point where my fingers would suddenly form a weird curve without the ability to flex. It resembles those mornings I wake up and cannot unlock my back. I walk like a neanderthal until my flexibility returns.

NSAIDs help me unlock my body from that arthritic physical structure. Crochet helps me unlock my fingers in the same way.

So, with all that said… Crochet is the most fun way to exercise, for me. I’ll save you from my thoughts on the mental benefits. I’ll save that for Stitched Delights.
