Starting Weight: 488 lbs

Last Week: 481.6 lbs

Current: 476.6

Week Loss: 5 lbs

Total Loss: 11.4 lbs


As you know, I gained during week one and then started losing. That is why I lost 10 lbs last week, although the total loss was lower.

I just wanted to clarify that real quick. It feels dismissive to say my total loss was only 11.4 lbs rather than the full 15. That 4.6 lb difference will not matter when the numbers increase, but right now I want to scream, “NO! It was 15!”


If you ask me, that 5 lb loss is significant. I believe I mentioned that shift to savoring smaller portions. Well, I do have a win that matters.

Friday, my boyfriend and I went to my favorite Chinese buffet. I took one plate. I put smaller portions of my favorite foods on it. I didn’t even tower my plate! I grabbed a few sushi. I added a tiny amount of my favorite Vegetable Chow Mai Fun. Then, I included some shrimp in cream sauce. I finished with a small serving of this breadless Philly Cheesesteak mix they make.

This has never been seen before! I never measured my food there. I am so proud of myself. I also never lost weight after eating there, either.
