And then I was grateful for the ability to expand my reach for my consulting…

2–3 minutes
Gratitude Jar 2025 for May 1st

I am grateful I signed up when asked about early adoption to MIRL. This 10-minute block strategy is great for my industry!

Approximately a 8-10 months ago, I want to say, I received a spam-like email. As someone trying to promote their wares on Instagram, it wasn’t uncommon.

I finally decided to look into the company and learn more. Apparently, it was a pre-planned app where people can connect with specialists in a variety of fields.

MIRL = Meet In Real Life

It was pitched as a place where you can make money selling your knowledge. This intrigued me.

At the time, I was trying to keep expanding as a crochet professional. I figured, “Well, I suppose I should sell crochet advice and lessons! It complements!” With my extensive small and medium enterprise (SME) knowledge, I saw potential for expansion.

If you fast forward to the last couple of days, I’d been getting announcements for the app release. I received my early adopter code and downloaded the app immediately upon release.

The timing couldn’t be better!

I’ve been working hard on achieving recognition in the market as an SME business consultant. Besides here, I have been spreading the word across LinkedIn. I’ve submitted a few proposals, and initial contact requests. I’ve had a couple prospect discussions, too!

Starting off May with MIRL means I am readily available to book at 10 minute increments.

Let’s face it, not everyone wants to hire for a project. Sometimes we just want some advice and a nudge in the right direction. No hefty consulting fees necessary.

I see potential for their endeavor. I also see potential for my business when utilizing their app. Also, honestly, they put a lot of work into their launch. It isn’t a sloppy product.

I cannot wait to see if my insight for them (and me!) will pan out.

To the experts out here who want to give it a try, I can help!

  1. Click here: SBSolutions on MIRL
  2. Click the appropriate store link on the page ( Google Play or Apple Apps)
  3. Create your expert profile by completing all of the steps (from bio to availability, and set up your Stripe account).
  4. Create Sparks that highlight your skills. These will tell people a lot about what you know, enhancing credibility.
  5. Wait and start receiving booking requests!

The true success remains to be seen, but I am very hopeful about this service. I think it will help change the landscape for expert advice availability.

See you there!
