4/17/25 I am grateful for the time to reminisce with mom’s best friend.

I had to do a factory reset on my phone. This is why there will be no picture today. I was having issues with Bluetooth connections from my phone.

It was glitching.

Let’s Discuss

I briefly mentioned that I visited my mom’s long-time best friend yesterday. Well, it is truly something I am grateful for doing.

I miss my mom a lot at times. It was a beautiful thing to sit with her and her husband and just chat. I talked about my life and asked about them. We discussed Mom. It was cathartic.

This woman is a blessing in many ways. I always liked her. She is kind and loving. People with her personality are rare.

This is a visit I will do again soon.

  It really did. By the end of the day, I reached a point where life just felt hard. Then I cried. I cried because I missed my daughter. I cried because I wanted my mom’s strength with me. I cried because I missed so many comforts that feel foreign now.
  
  I was dealing with something in my household, and it brought up this need to stand my ground and say enough is enough (like I wrote about earlier this morning). I think that moment of discussion gave me the strength to assert myself for my betterment. I guess I brought home a piece of my mother from that talk. ♡
  
  I hope you are well! I haven’t had a chance to go look at blogs for the last two days, but I am hoping, maybe tonight.

It’s beautiful to be able to talk to someone about a lost loved one. I often talk to the sister of my best friend. I cherish those moments.

  It really is! Their memory gets to live on in the words that pass our lips. My mom probably never expected to live on like that, but there we were. We were sharing loving thoughts of her kindness and discussing how dedicated she was as a parent and grandmother.
  
  It was one of my best decisions, although a whim, to simply stop in and say hello.

    I tell her stories about our adventures in life that she never heard about. I think it makes her feel happy that I was his best friend . More like a brother, since we became friends at 7 years old.
