And then I proposed an essay idea relating to business for publishing…

gratitude jar 2025 entry for april 21st

I am grateful for the strength to send an essay proposal to a publisher.

I simply wish to be viewed as an educated professional in my field. No, really. I feel a little twinge of disappointment when people are surprised to find out how smart I really am.

People often see me as an average, depressed, and anxious woman. That changes shortly after a conversation, though.

I’m proud that I have a general, comprehensive understanding of many topics. I am especially proud of how well I understand business concepts.

Moving into the profession of business consulting is hard. I have to prove my intelligence on a grander scale now. I find myself being dismissed before I can open my mouth, at times. This expedites the process of moving past anxiety into confidence.

I decided the time was now.

I am an articulate writer. I can sound professional, informative, and clear. I can break down difficult concepts for those who do not study business. It often surprises people to realize how easily I convey thoughts using the written word.

I researched a variety of locations that accept content before I made my proposal. I found one not only highly recommended, but also accepted business-related content.

In my twenties, I wrote for a living. I did so in my capacity as a virtual assistant and as a side business. I would get a role, panic, and quit. I did not feel capable.

I have more self-confidence now. Not a ton, but more. I have just enough confidence to take a risk.

Wish me luck as I wait to hear from them. If you have any favorites for publishing content, please let me know. I’m hoping to grow my reach and prove my capabilities for consulting.
