And then I was grateful for some advice to maintain as much better health as possible…

Gratitude Jar 2025 for May 6th

I am grateful for my doctor seeing me & her advice to help slow the progression of my chronic venous insufficiency!

My doctor worked me into her schedule yesterday with a virtual appointment. I am super grateful because my right foot looks like my mom had a baby with a dalmatian. It is covered in bright purple line-like spots, and my lower leg/foot is a deep reddish purple.

The diagnosis is chronic venous insufficiency, and this comes with more lifestyle changes.

No more sitting and working through a project. I need to get up and move approximately every hour.

You see, a ton of veins in my foot burst due to backflow pressure, which created the weird spots.

My left foot is having the issue as well, it just hasn’t progressed as far.

Today it is my goal to move as much as possible. During my meeting, for example, I will consciously flex my legs and feet to help with blood flow.

My compression knee-high socks will be here tomorrow.

I’ll do my best where I can. It is all I really can do.

Are you making healthier changes to your life as well? Tell me your game plan. Let’s work that strategy together!
