Announcement: Expect a Short Content Hiatus

Since Friday, I have been dealing with severe sciatic pain. Combine that with random tingling, numbness, and my right knee buckling.

I was at the hospital on Saturday because I couldn’t take it anymore. I have since learned that I have advanced multilevel degenerative disk disease in my lumbar. This comes with a right-leaning curve in the same area.

I do not have enough tolerance to sit still for long. I find writing my usual content difficult. I cannot post-date social media updates at this time because of this.

Once I figure out an accommodating routine, I will write more content for everyone.

    Prayers sent for a speedy recovery. I had spinal surgery for c6-c7. Prior to the surgery, the pain was unbearable.

      One of the hardest realizations for me was that consulting requires too much time investment for my lifestyle change. I have to stand and move every 30 minutes to reduce pain. Otherwise, my back locks up, and I am in more pain.

      I am working on an accommodating writing schedule. It has to work around frequent movements/stretches to reduce my pain. I’m extremely limited on medication.

      Mentoring with 30-minute sessions and writing bursts may be the best choice. Consulting is a little less accommodating of that timeline. I can still write content and my book, in bursts.

      With school as well, I had to find a way to carve movement time into my schedule, essentially cutting my time allowance in half.

      I’m really sad.

        I can understand why. For me, surgery changed everything. Pain was gone, and while I have a little restriction in my neck, it’s a lot better than the pain I was in. I hope that your find a solution soon.

          All I know at this time is that it is chronic, won’t improve, and I have to adjust to living with it. I can do things to reduce the timeline, which I am working on now.

          Surgery happens in extreme situations, like a stress fracture, bulging disks, etc. I’m just, well, feeling stuck.
